To anyone that visits this website I hope that you take a moment of your time to read the different essays and provided on this site. I wrote these three essays during my time in my Expository Writing Course at Brunswick Community College. I hope that you enjoy the readings and learn a lot from the various information that I have included.
The first essay that I wrote was "Censorship," in which I covered what exactly censorship is and where it's origins came from. I list various cases that have occurred over the last few hundred years that involved some form of censorship and that were big at the time. I take a deep at debate over censorship which many people take part in, whether they are for, or against censorship.
In the second essay, "Is Censorship Necessary?" I decided to take the side against censorship, stating that it is overused and that it violates our First Amendment rights. I provide an argument that observes the various techniques from censorship and I question their relativity. I also state different methods that could be used instead of censorship and that could not abuse our rights.
The final essay, "Final Reflection," is a reflection on my time spent in my Expository writing course and how it has helped shape me into a better writer. I state what I've learned over the semester and how I plan to use my new found knowledge in the future.
I hope that after reading all the material, that you have a better understanding of the subject and it sparks your interest as much as it does mine.
